Why give to Burning the Clocks?
|
Each year Same Sky produces this cherished winter solstice event in Brighton.
It has become a traditional part of the season’s calendar and is watched by around 20,000 people every year.
Burning the Clocks receives essential local support from business sponsorship, reduced cost services and the goodwill of artists and volunteers. Same Sky is supported by Arts Council England and Brighton and Hove City Council, but in order to keep this event alive for years to come we need your help:
£30 pays for a family of 4 to attend an artist-led lantern-making workshop
£60 pays for a half day lantern-making workshop with a community group
£120 pays for a week of training for 10 volunteers in large lantern construction
£500 pays for an artist to build the centrepiece for the finale show
£3500 pays for the firework finale

What is Gift Aid?
As Same Sky has charitable status, we are able to claim back income tax from the Inland Revenue on donations given to us by UK taxpayers. This does not require any further effort on your part or any extra cost. This applies providing you pay an amount of income tax or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax we reclaim on the payments – currently 22p for every £1 you give. If so, please complete the short form below, print and sign it, and send it with your cheque.
