Burning The Clocks 2008

LANTERN MAKING WORKSHOPS
We will be advertising dates and taking bookings for lantern making workshops for our 2009 event from mid-October, so please revisit this page for details and booking forms

LANTERN MAKING PACKS
Can't make it to a workshop? Want to make lanterns at home?

Buy our limited edition lantern making kit for Burning the Clocks, with bespoke decoration to fit our 2009 theme. The kit contains everything you will need to make simple pyramid clock lanterns. The finished lanterns are your ticket into the parade and the VIP viewing area at the event. By buying a lantern kit, you are also helping to secure the future of Burning the Clocks.

Lantern-making packs will be on sale from Same Sky and local shops from mid-October 2009.

HOME-MADE LANTERNS
We politely ask you not to bring your ingenious and random home-made lanterns to the event! We are required to check every lantern, and unchecked home-made versions compromise the safety of the parade. For this reason, we have produced the lantern-making kits to allow you to make safe lanterns at home. There are also volunteering opportunities if you wish to get involved in making something larger. We will refuse access to the participants viewing area for any unchecked lanterns.
VOLUNTEERING
There are a wide variety of ways that you can participate in the event, so if you are interested in volunteer opportunities (workshop support, community outreach, lantern making, big makes and costumes) please complete the application form below.
